After a day or two in the Las Vegas casinos and indoor attractions, you might be on the lookout for a little fresh air. Luckily, Las Vegas boasts average January temperatures around 60 degrees Fahrenheit—downright balmy weather for those traveling from frigid climates. Take advantage of this mild weather and hit Vegas’ top outdoor hot spots: 1. SkyJump above the Strip. Hit North America’s highest jump at the Stratosphere Hotel, Casino & Tower’s SkyJump Las Vegas, which allows you to plummet 108 floors to …

Of the all the indentured adjectives forced into descriptive servitude for Las Vegas, romantic isn’t among those that come naturally to mind. It’s only with the imminent arrival of that arrow-shooting cherub that the romantically challenged among us here in Sin City are reminded of our yearly Valentine’s Day obligations. This of course results in a dash to the nearest internet device and a subsequent Google search for “romantic things to do in Las Vegas.” Well who knew there were …

One of the biggest decisions you ever make arrives every year with the Big Game. Your thorough enjoyment of the pro football championship depends utterly on where you watch it and with whom. Remember, you don’t have the benefit of replay. There are no do-overs. You have a once-in-a-calendar-year chance to get it right. As you probably know from loathsome experience, there’s nothing worse than hating the place you’re in and the people you’re with on the biggest football Sunday of the …

This just in: We’re extending winter pool hours during the Lazy River closure. (We love sharing good news!)

http://blog.tahitivillage.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Pool-February-2014-020-300x223.jpg

Beginning tomorrow the main pool will be open an extra 90 minutes, till 6 p.m., to accommodate the Lazy River closure and the warmer weather over the next week. Once we complete the replastering and retiling project at the Lazy River, by Feb. 12 at the latest, winter pool hours will revert to their normal 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If the great weather continues, however, extended winter pool hours may continue indefinitely. We’ll let you know. The hot tubs …

Lazy River closed for replastering and retiling project

A much-needed maintenance project on the Lazy River began Tuesday, Jan. 20. Our popular aquatic attraction is now closed for replastering and retiling and is scheduled to reopen by Feb. 12 (at the latest). The pool and both spas will remain open during the Lazy River closure. Winter pool hours are in effect for the pool from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily and the spas are open their usual 24 hours. We thank you for your understanding during this …

See one of these shows (or better yet, all of them!) on your next visit to Las Vegas. Your kids will thank you.

One of the natural byproducts of Las Vegas’ evolution from an adult playground to a family destination has been the advent of shows both children and their parents can enjoy. The Cirque du spectaculars, magic acts and miscellaneous G-rated fare that began appearing in the early `90s, cautiously at first, are now ubiquitous, the previously prolific indigenous species – the Las Vegas showgirl – all but extinct. So now you’ve decided to bring the kids with you to Las Vegas. …

It was a very happy New Year’s party!

Nearly 100 revelers attended our New Year’s Eve party and enjoyed a night of dining, drinking and dancing as we bid farewell to 2014 and rang in 2015. The party, held in the SkyView Lounge of Tower 5, began at 10 p.m. and lasted well past the official 2 a.m. ending time. Attendees noshed on delicious hors d’oeuvres, imbibed their favorite adult beverages from our open bar, shared a celebratory champagne toast at midnight, watched the spectacular Strip fireworks display from the 10th floor …

Reactivated: Activities center open again for fun

http://blog.tahitivillage.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/New-pool-table.jpg

It didn’t take long to transform our activities center (fifth floor, Tower 5) from beaten down to beautiful. The much-needed renovation project put a whole new gloss on a high-traffic area, and it took only two days to install new carpeting, apply fresh paint and replace the existing billiard, air hockey and foosball tables. You may now resume your fun!
